The following slideshow offers ‘How to’ guides for getting started encoding with TEI. This presentation walks users through encoding Div Structures, Forme Works, Inline Features, plus how to use CSS to encode Layout and Style. All guides have been directly adapted from Janelle Jenstad and Martin Holmes’ materials developed for The Map of Early Modern London Pedagogical Partnership program. This particular guide was designed to accommodate elements and attributes contained in the prefatory epistles by Thomas Newman and Thomas Nashe in the 1591 edition of Sir Philip Sidney’s Astrophel and Stella featured here in the Mini-Archive.
